Music Box Boy and Ballerina Girl: An Original Song
"Music Box Boy and Ballerina Girl" is a song about a moment in time that is captured inside a music box. This song seems a bit like a lullaby, but with a modern, Indie twist, a music box playing, and a lot of layered vocals. I was going for a nostalgic, haunting sound. Ballerina Girl is the ballerina that is inside some music boxes and turns when the music plays. The music box playing symbolizes a happy memory. In the song some time passes by, but the memories still linger. When the boy opens the music box, he remembers Ballerina Girl and can still see her dance. Cotton candy clouds in the twilight sky is about a single, ideal moment. I came up with these lyrics because when I was writing this song, I looked out the window and this is how the sky looked to me. This song is about how all the moments we are living now will someday become memories. Some of those memories will stay and we will replay them again and again. I would like to thank Chris Bihuniak of Rock Band Academy Studios for producing this song and helping me bring it to life.

Music Box Boy and Ballerina Girl
By Grace Piper Fields
There is a spot
Inside your mind
There I will linger
A bit of the time
Put in the key
And open the box
The music that plays
Is the sound of thoughts
Cotton candy clouds
In the twilight sky
As time flies by
You’re the music box boy
And I’m your ballerina girl
When she turns she may seem coy
But for you she’ll give a twirl
And so we dance
And our music plays
We don’t even see
The hours turn into days
Go on with your day
And sleep through the night
The memories you have
Are stories of life
Cotton candy clouds
In the twilight sky
As time flies by
You’re the music box boy
And I’m your ballerina girl
When she turns she may seem coy
But for you she’ll give a twirl
Should you get lost
Along the way
Find the spot
Where our music plays
Inside the box
A moment in time
One that is caught
And plays on rewind
Cotton candy clouds
In the twilight sky
As time flies by
You’re the music box boy
And I’m your ballerina girl
When she turns she may seem coy
But for you she’ll give a twirl
And I’m your ballerina girl
