The second part of our trip last winter involved exploring central Chile. Since the seasons are reversed in the Southern Hemisphere, it was summer there. The photos above are from Santiago, which is the largest city in Chile.

Santa Cruz is a small town surrounded by luscious vineyards. Our family enjoyed a vineyard tour complete with llamas. We relaxed by the poolside in a tropical setting. It was hard to believe it was actually winter back home!

My dad was a foreign exchange student in Rengo, Chile when he was in high school. We visited my dad's host family in their country house with a pool and mountain view. It was fun to see all of the things my dad has talked so much about.
