Fanciful London đź«–
From high tea to grabbing a cup of coffee, London offers so many fanciful experiences. We visited London during the Queen’s Jubilee, so the atmosphere was particularly festive. Around every corner were elaborate window displays complete with large floral arrangements. Below are more details about my favorite four stops in London, Sketch, The Ritz, EL&N, and Mr. Fogg’s House of Botanicals.
Sketch
The restaurant, Sketch, transports you to a fantasy world complete with projections, a swing, and the restroom (or water closet) of your dreams!
The Ritz
At high tea in The Ritz, you can dine like royalty, and don’t even think about pouring your own tea! With a delicate hand, your personal waiter will take care of that for you. I wasn’t expecting the multitude of courses, but it turns out that there are three traditional courses in high tea: finger sandwiches, biscuits or scones, followed by cakes. In our case, they added egg sandwiches and a second dessert, but I’m not complaining.
EL & N
EL&N, “the most Instagrammable cafe in the world,” definitely lived up to my expectations. As a pink lover, the decor suited my liking and the pastries were exquisite!
Mr. Fogg’s House of Botanicals
Mr. Fogg’s House of Botanicals happened to be right next to the Airbnb we stayed in. The decor inside and out was very photogenic, and if you like a good cheese board, this is the place to go!
