Don't Walk Away: An Original Song
On April 13, 2014 a white supremacist gunned down three beautiful souls in Overland Park, Kansas. Fourteen year old Reat Underwood, his grandfather, William Corporon, and Terri LaManno lost their lives that day. In their memory, Seven Days was created. The Seven Days motto is, “Make a ripple, change the world.” I entered my song. “Don’t Walk Away”, into the Seven Days songwriting competition and got 2nd place! This was such an honor. The purpose of this song is to inspire and uplift others to be accepting of all people regardless of racial, religious, or cultural differences, and to spread kindness. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me and for being part of the ripple of change!
I had an amazing time filming this video in Nashville and Kansas City! I carried my camera with me everywhere we went and each new place was an opportunity. I’m really glad that I got to be a part of such an important cause.

Don’t Walk Away
By Grace Piper Fields
Is your life like a film in black and white?
Divided by limited eyesight
Whatcha thinkin’ when you’re walking down the street?
Are you judging the people that you meet?
Don’t walk away
It’s up to us now
Stand up today
Let’s spread some love now
Embrace this technicolor world that we live in
No matter our beliefs or color of our skin
Let’s see through a kaleidoscope’s view
Change the angle and the patterns are brand new
Don’t walk away
It’s up to us now
Stand up today
Let’s spread some love now
Paint love like a mural on a wall
Go outside the lines and see the boundaries fall
Who says who gets to draw the line
Of what’s acceptable in human design
Don’t walk away
It’s up to us now
Ooh oh
Don’t walk away
It’s up to us now
Don’t walk away
Don’t walk away
Stand up today
Let’s spread some love now
Don’t, don’t, don’t walk away
Don’t walk away
It’s up to us now
Ooo ooo ooo
Stand up today
Let’s spread some love now
Don’t walk away
