We took advantage of KU’s fall break to do a quick weekend get away to New York City. We arrived on Friday evening, and began our weekend by eating at a delicious restaurant that Sophie had researched called Bea. I ordered the green pasta which was scrumptious! Between the flickering candles, and the old movies that were projected on the brick walls, I knew the weekend was off to a great start. We wandered the streets after dinner through Times Square. There were crowds of people swarming at every corner. The energy and bustle of Times Square is so exciting! We also stopped at Rockefeller Center, and watched the ice-skaters. At night, New York is certainly alive! I can see why New York City is called the city that never sleeps!

Our Friday Look

My sister, Sophie, and I decided it would be fun to coordinate our outfits for the weekend. Sophie wore a top from J. Crew in a cute heart print. J. Crew has a lot of different pieces in the store right now with this print. I wore a red, J. Crew, boat neck top and a neck scarf out of the same print as Sophie's shirt. We saw a lot of fun neck scarves in the stores around NYC.
